HELP- VASOLINE IN REESE AND SYD HAIR-Update(pic)
So I get a call at work from the sitter. She said Syd and Reese got into the VAsoline and it's all over them and in their hair She said she gave them a bath but it's like glue and will not come out..HELP!! what should i buy to bring home with me to get it out.

Update: So I get home and their hair was sooo greasy.... don't know if you can tell how nasty it is from the pic. Anyway, i gave them showers with dishwasher soap and it's a little better BUT we have a ways to go...thanks for the help ladies Image Attachment(s):

I googled and found this:
Steps For Removing Vaseline From The Hair
STEP 1: Take a paper towel and blot as much of the Vaseline from the hair as possible onto the paper towel. Do not rub as this can damage the hair. Blot and pat carefully.
STEP 2: Apply a little cornstarch or cornmeal powder (do not use baby powder as it can be harmful to the lungs) to the sections of the hair that contains the Vaseline. Blot or pat the cornstarch onto the hair. Again, do not rub. Make sure that the entire area of Vaseline is covered with a light amount of the cornstarch or cornmeal powder.
STEP 3: Once the hair has been completely covered step into a warm, not hot, shower. Apply a good clarifying shampoo to the palms of your hand and then apply to the hair.

My son did this with vaseline and then another time with vicks vapor rub! 
I just kept washing the hair with shampoo.
If they have ALOT of it in it, use a little bit of dishwashing soap to wash it out (watch their eyes). It'll get it out alot quicker.

I'm sorry I just imagine me freaking out over having one baby with vaseline. Two just makes me laugh, laugh, laugh.
Definitely going to hell in a handbasket.

I have 5 daughters!!! Bound to happen with at least one of them...actually the twins painted themselves with it when they were about 2.

Part of me is cracking up too because i can picture what happened..Reese and Syd lathering eachother up..my mom was like STEPH it's ALL over them. I know my little angels were giggling as they were doing this..i guess i should be thankful they didn't smear it all over my walls.. I will let you all know what happened and i will post a pic when i get home

I think it's ok since you've dealt with permanent marker 2 years going.
