HELP NEEDED: any tricks for how NOT to cry??? ---- UPDATED
I have a very important career conversation with my boss' boss in 45 minutes.
I'm very emotional about this because it's about my development and career and I feel I've been slighted by the department.
Even thinking about what I'm going to say I feel that lump in the back of my throat.
Does anyone have ANY tips for how not to cry?????
UPDATE:
Thank you all. The meeting went well and I DIDN'T CRY!!
I sucked on a peppermint, looked up, dug my nails in, thought of nipples and took deep breaths.
I probably looked like a spaz, but I was able to negotiate a salary increase and a title review.

Think of nipples.
and do a strong sucking in before you walk in the door. My wedding photographer told me to do that if I thought I would cry down the aisle it works.

I really wish I did.  I hope it goes ok. Maybe just try deep breaths. Sometimes if I take drinks of water, it calms me down. Or I may need to look away from the person and focus on something else in the room. I know you need to look 'em in the eyes to be taken seriously, but this helps me, just to every once in awhile look at something else for a few seconds. Good luck.

Just tell yourself DO NOT CRY(NAME) that has worked for me , and bring water with you, sometimes that helps too, just take a sip whenever you think you are going to cry.

get a cough drop or sucking candy that way your mind is doing two things at once. Also bring in a pen and pad so you can play with that if the conversation becomes intense.Good Luck!

I put my tongue to the roof of my mouth, grit my teeth or dig my nail into my thumb.
Also the best way is not to get upset but to be ANGRY, all the while saying "Boy are you going to miss me" in your head.

Also, press your tongue to the roof of your mouth.

Go in with a lot of confidence, like this is THEIR loss. Don't be emotional about it. Think of this as a business transaction and stay focused.
If you can remove your emotion from the situation for the duration of the meeting you'll be fine.
When you're through, go to the ladies room immediately and cry your eyes out! 
Hang in there, you'll get through this!
Oh and if all that fails - think of nipples!!

I've also heard look up and either to the left or the right to block the tear ducts.
