The scrap wouldn't bother me but the bug bites would. Has it happened more then once? If it's an isolated incident, then I wouldn't be so concerned because they may have happened at home or inside when she was sleeping by a bug caught in her sheets.

The scrape isnt that big of a deal i guess.
The bug bites we notice only when she comes home from daycare. One or two isnt enough to bug me either. Its this multi-attack that has me bummed.
I told them this morning she's not to go outside they asked why and when I showed them her leg they were surprised like they had never seen it before.

California Baby makes a citronella bug spray. Try putting it on her before they take her out and see if that helps her...but I would be  as well...where the hell are they taking her hiking?!?!??!?!

Instead of having her stay inside...ask that they address the problem by spraying or something. She, more then likely, isn't the only child getting bitten. Can you have something long sleeve but light for her to wear outside? It may help deter bugs bites.

those bug bites  don't they put Bug repellant on these poor kids or spray the grounds??!! I'd be pretty pi$$ed about the scrapes too, she def. would not be allowed outside anymore until they figure something out.

I hate to add this, and certainly don't want to worry you anymore than you already are....
but you NEED to find out if there are any other children getting bit...talk to other parenst if you have to...it could be bed bug bites, because of what they look like... I am sorry for even bringing it up, but I thought you should find out if anyone else has experienced this....FM me if you need any info..my field of work unfortunately exposes me to many cases of this.....

Thanks everyone...
To answer a few questions...
No, they do not put on bug repellant due to parent's wishes regarding chemicals etc. They will put it on if I send it to daycare.
No, she's not the only one with bites (thanks for asking cause it made me ask) but the only one who tears at her own skin.
Took her to pediatrican this morning.. (well about an hour ago).
Verdict:
No allergic reaction to the bites
They are insect bites, mosquitos and/or ants
No infection
She has Eczema
Need to lotion her 3-4times daily
Need to keep her indoors for a week for these too heal
Need to give her 1/2tsp of Clartin twice a day (anti-histamine)
They want me to tape her pants to her socks at Daycare and have her wear long sleeves to protect her from the bugs
Need to apply bug repellant when going outside as well.
Need to give her tylenol before bed to reduce the pain - which may cause her to wake up and scratch it.
