Help me pick baby furniture

Okay so I had my DD 3 weeks ago, but figured I'd post here as alot of you ladies are in the market for baby furniture too.

Long story, but we ordered furniture when I was 20 weeks, got it and the quality was so bad we are switching it. The store we got it from is letting us pick a new set and keep the old one until we get it (and since we were so close to my EDD we waited until the baby was born to see because we didn't know the gender).

Now that she is here we are going with a girl set, but which do you like better?

It's either the white set (Penelope), which would be with the first crib MINUS CORNER POSTS.

or the wood (Madison)

Re: Help me pick baby furniture

Both are nice but I think I like the Madison set better. Maybe it's the corner posts that are throwing me off from the white set but I just like the other one better.

I love the madison...that's what I was getting if I had a girl.

I'm wrong...it was a different crib.

ooh thanks for posting the picture Reese. I think I might have figured out how to fix the pics now.

I thought I was set on the Madison, but then started thinking the crib was too bulky for my small room.

Re: Help me pick baby furniture

I like the Madison as well, it's a more substantial piece.

Plus it may be more versitile...is it one of those transitional beds?

I like the Madison. Im not sure about those corner posts but if you are working with a small room, maybe the white one would work better.

Re: Help me pick baby furniture

We ordered the Madison so that is what I am going to pick. I think you could get more use out of it in the long run, and it is very sturdy.

I like white as well - but I prefer the Madison - is it available in white?

Yes it converts to a double bed. I think I probably could get more use out of it too (may be better for an older kid too). I personally think they're both girly sets so I would plan on keeping either for her to grow with, unless I had another girl. And so I am wondering too if the white set is too babyish?

I agree. It can be ordered without the posts, which is what I would do. Yeah the room is on the smaller side.

Re: Help me pick baby furniture

Not usually a fan of white for myself but I like the Penelope better, knowing you have a girl, it's more feminine.
