help me decorate

I bought this mirror to put over the couch. I want to put something on each side of it but I want it to bring some color to the room. Sconces have crossed my mind but it won't add any color. The room has neutral/earthy colors in it so I'd like to stick with that. Maybe something that has a cranberry color in it, but I'm not sure what. Here's a pic of the wall right now:

What about sconces with cranberry colored candles or candle shades

a hanging vase could also be pretty and the colors could come from dried or fresh flowers
