help - earwigs in house
over the past week I have found about 4 or 5 earwig bugs in my house. not all in the same spot. anyone know what I can do to get rid of them? and where do they come from? Just concerned because nI have a 5 month old.
I try to avoid google cuz it will make me crazy.

We just saw 2 in our house. This was what I read on them:

I'm going to give the boric acid a try but it seems like with the rain we've been getting, that's what the cause is.

we've had them lately too! it's so weird, bc i've never remembered seeing so many-we had a ton outside, and i found 1 in the house

We've had quite a few of them too. They freak me out! It's the weather. I'm gonna have DH re-spray outside.
Also seeing a lot of Flying Ants? Nasty

i hate them! it is due to the weather.... i have a few i found in the house and freaked out b/c i have a 7 month old. Going to have DH spray outside like on a sunday night b/c we work full time and it wont interfer with me bringing DS out

Our exterminator sprays for them every quarter. Plus our house has that internal system that they hook up to outside and spray the full home (in between the walls). Then 7 feet from the house itself on the lawn.
Earwigs like wet areas, so sinks, bathrooms, near AC vents, etc. If I see any I call for a respray since my treatment doesn't come inside.
Give you have a small one, I'd vacuum them up and treat the outside, seal up anything you can that they can gain enterance.

help - earwigs in house
Earwigs gross me out! I hate them!! I found them in my hamper last summer so since then I do not put any wet or damp towels or clothes in my hampers. I hang dry if I'm not doing laundry that day. They also live under the caps on our railing on our front porch so DH is going to caulk them. I love summer but hate the bugs that come along with it!!

I won't even tell you my ear wig story from last summer
Make sure all your windows/doors are sealed especially in the basement. DH sprayed the perimeter of the house and ultimately we bombed the basement bc they were so bad (we had just bought the house and found that a basement window wasn't fully sealed)
we left a for a few days with the babies so he could do it. Not sure if leaving was necessary but it made me feel better.

I have like four or five or more per day this time of year. It's so disgusting. They are everywhere, at night especially. I haven't found a way to really keep them away but the "invasion" usually only lasts a little while and then they disappear. They are SO gross though, they freak me out.

They are definitely around more with the heat and moisture.

Ugh i killed 10 tonight, in a matter of 10 minutes... they mustve had a party here or something
Igh- and theyre so hard to kill- like, you really gotta STOMP on them.... i hate bugs...

No they are completely harmless yet very annoying. All they need is a tiny crack to get in...

squished a few yesterday myself. they are so gross. remind me of like, prehistoric trilobites.
they freak me OUT.
i live by the water, and i had a beautiful vision of the bay from my window, with pink roses popping up from the yard, and out come a creepy crawly earwigger to destroy my moment 
hate them.
