Heart Rates and Gender
I had my 8 week sono this morning, my doctor was joking around saying this baby is a girl because the hb was around 170. I think the boys were around the same so i'm confused. Just curious what all others had and what gender they are having!

Re: Heart Rates and Gender
i dont know what I am having...the HR has consistently been in the 150s, when I went this week it was 135. I have always heard 160+ is girl, but from some answers it looks like thats not alwaus true

My doctor said the same thing, always over 170- and guessed it was a girl...but I am having a boy!

Re: Heart Rates and Gender
I don't know what I am having but at my 10 week ultrasound the heartrate was at 180, and the lowest it has gotten was 149. We shall see in a couple of months if this myth holds true for me.

Re: Heart Rates and Gender
Sadie's was always like 140-ish so I dont think that is too much of an indictor. Then again I had EVERY "boy" thing there was to have and she is def a girl. lol.
