Heart Palpitations with Night Hot Flashes?

I know many women in their 40s get hot flashes, but does anyone wake up with a racing heart with the hot flash also? I've had an echocardiogram, wore a heart monitor for a week, been to the ER when it first happened, and my heart is fine. Now I'm realizing these heart palps and hot flashes have come right before my period these last two times I've had them. I had one 3 weeks ago, the one that sent me to the ER. Started my period 3 days later. Had another one last night with the racing heart again and today I feel crampy. I used to get hot flashes years ago before my period, but they went away. Never had the heart palps though. My cycle is irregular but used to be every 21 days like clockwork. Went to gyn last week, said sounds like perimenopause. But, I just want to hear from others that they have this with heart palpations. I'm starting to think I'm insane, ha!

Yes the week before my period always. I wake up with an anxiety feeling in my chest- which is probably heart palpations.
It's like clockwork every month- so it's definitely hormonal. My anxiety is also through the roof a few days before my period as well

I don't get hot flashes at night- sometimes I get super hot during the day- again the week before my period. But that hasn't been happening lately.
