She melted my heart last night
Well, true to form, I was nervous for no good reason. I came to pick up Alex and I've never seen such a huge grin on her face! The whole walk home she chatted about her new classes, her new teachers, learning hebrew, etc.
I asked her if she likes her new hebrew teacher, and she shouted, with a huge grin on her face, YES! I don't know why I was so nervous considering she has the same exact demeanor as her Israeli daddy 
And then last night, I tucked her into bed, and sat next to her for 10 minutes while she gave me a rundown of her day.
And at the end, she pointed her finger to me and said, "Mommy you are Ema" 
I said, yes, you're right, mommy's name in hebrew is Ema! Do you know what Daddy's name in hebrew is? She said, smiling SO proudly, "Aba"
I kissed her goodnight, and as I was walking out the door, I hear her little voice say "Lila tov Ema" (goodnight mommy).
I almost melted into a puddle on the floor

sheket b'vakasha!!!!
to the dog when he barks. Maybe I should start teaching her some more nice things to say hahaha.

Oh Beth I am so happy to hear that it went well. I know this is a huge weight lifted from your shoulders. I think it's really great how you and DH stood up for Alex and made sure her needs were met.

Soo cute!!!
I love when DS tells me goodnight in Croatia. I wish their was a similar immersion class like for Croatian but their isn't. I think it is such a wonderful thing that you are doing for her. I see within my own nationality, that the kids these days don't have an interest in their heritage like I did and it is so sad.
