HCG shot & HPT

i was just wondering, if you take an hcg trigger shot, how long does it remain in your system before it leaves (in order to avoid a false positive on the HPT?) TIA!

My doctor told me not to test until 2 weeks later or I could get a false positive.

I would wait the 2 weeks or you can test out the trigger....but that entails a Bunch of tests that you are basically wasting.

I never test before 10 dpo just to make sure the trigger is out and to be honest if I got a positive I would not believe it till I had a beta done

It only stayed in my system a few days. I took a HPT probably around 7DPIUI to make sure it was out and it was, test was completely negative. At 10DPIUI I got a faint positive and was pregnant with my DD.

I've had about 9-10 IUI's ALL with trigger shots and EVERY time the trigger was out of my system within a week. All of the BFP's I got (even though they ended in miscarriage) were true BFP's.

out by 10 days for me...safest is 11 dpo to test imo
