Having a breakdown *Updated*

So we went today for our sono and everything was great. baby was waving and had a great heartbeat. Fast forward to this evening...DH and I fool around (we did NOT have sex) and I go to the bathroom directly after and theres blood in the toilet and on the toilet paper. It stopped about 20 minutes later but now I am convinced its over again Chat Icon I called Dr.B two hours ago and haven't heard back...I feel like I can't even breathe..I don't want to go down this road again...

Update!
So I showed up at the office this morning. I didn't sleep all night, I just couldn't stop worrying. Of course baby was fine, waving again and the heartbeat was over 185! Dr.B gave me a bunch of diff scenarios on what might have happened. I am hoping this was my one and only scare. Thanks for all the advice and prayers!

Re: Having a breakdown

I know how scary it can be. I was always told that I might experience cramping and/or spotting bleeding after a sono because of the irritation to your cervix.

Just breathe. I know it's easier said than done. Us IF girls can never have an easy road with anything. I'm sure he will call you soon.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Having a breakdown

Take a deep breath. Try calling again. Was the blood red or brownish? If you don't hear back soon, can you go to the ER? I don't know anything about miscsrriages, but I hope you are ok.Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Having a breakdown

Take a deep breath. Keep remembering that you just saw the baby looking great! Try to think positively. Spotting and bleeding can be absolutely harmless, but I know it's hard to think that way. Re: Having a breakdown

I emailed him twice (bordering stalker tonight) and I am still waiting. I read that if you fool around to a certain point your cervix can become soft and irritated so I am praying thats all it is. I was measuring right on today and everything seemed great. Now I am stressed out again Chat Icon

I emailed him over 3 hours ago about something not nearly as important, and he hasn't replied either so I have a feeling he is not checking his Blackberry. Maybe call and have the answering service page him?

Re: Having a breakdown

He finally wrote me back "its cervical, don't worry". I don't even know what that means!

I am thinking that between the internal and then fooling around maybe that's what happened. Either way poor DH cause we will NOT BE DOING ANYTHING THE REST OF THIS PREGNANCY...

Now I can just sit here and worry Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Awww I am sure this is so scary for you, but Dr. B isn't concerned and while seeing blood would freak anyone out try to stay calm for the baby.

I am sure everything is fine, just try to relax and take it easy mentally that is.

And that is great news you saw your baby wave at you today!

Re: Having a breakdown

He finally called me and said that there is nothing to worry about. Blamed it on irritation of the cervix and something else...He said I could come in for a sono whenever so I will see how long I can wait. I kept saying "there was a lot of blood though" and he kept saying "Your fine". Haha we could have argued all night!

I'll just pray that its fine and promise to never mess around again Chat Icon
