I know everyone says not to go to bed angry - I used to think that too - but now, I think differently.
It's very rare that it happens - but when it does, I still Kiss DH good night - and in the morning - usually there is a lot more clarity on the issue - sleeping on it sometimes is the best remedy - and also usually leads to a genuine apology - not one that is forced just becuase we are going to sleep.

I've gone to bed angry. Sometimes it's better for me to sleep on it because I tend to wake up less angry and in a better mood. If there was a big fight or a major issue, I'd probably try to resolve it before going to bed.

You know whats funny....DH and i go to bed in a fight BUT always at some point in the night or morning we make up. its like we collect ourselves and wipe away a clean slate. WE ususally always resolved and it very rarely lingers on

I try not to, but sometimes it happens. I usually get po'ed when DH falls asleep and I lie awake thinking about things. Then of course I carry the grudge over to the next morning and he acts like nothing happened.

One of my college friend's father left home after an argument, heated. He was hit by a car and died and I ALWAYS think of him. I know it is a dramatic example but it is something that just sticks with me.
I just cannot go to bed angry -- at him or at anyone. My mom, sister, a friend, etc, I always have to talk it out before I go to sleep or leave. DH & I both cool off pretty quickly -- neither of us are the type to brood so that helps. We usually go into separate rooms, cool off, then come back together and talk it out. If we cannot reach a resolution, we agree to disagree. There have been times I have kept him up till the wee hours of the morning to talk about something, and for me, talking always helps release the anger.

What an amazing song Laurie!!!!!
This was a song that my former fiance use to sing to me all the time......sadly, he passed away 10 years ago. but I think of him & how we should ALWAYS remember to say I LOVE YOU to our family and loved ones each time I hear it.
