hate this process :(

UGh i never thought trying to get pregnant would be so hard! Everyone around me has kids; and they've all pretty much gotten pregnant by accident. And now that we're trying it feels like it's taking forever!

I think i might try to start using OPK. It's been 6 cycles of BCP; 3 actively trying. Maybe our timing is all off since i really don't know when i "O"

I would def look into opk's since that will let you know when you will O and BD.

I feel the same way. I've been off the pill for 2 YEARS but we haven't been "trying" until a few months ago. And then last month was the first month I was "regimented" about it.

This month is the first month using OPKs for me. I'm on CD 12 now and I'm shocked that I still have no smiley. I'm wondering if all this time, what I thought was PMS was me actually o'ing.

This is my second cycle using an OPK, & it has made it a little less confusing & stressful.

I was actually surprised to see that I am actually Oing much later than I thought (CD 16 last month, CD 14 this month).

how does the OPK work? you have to test your urine each morning?

You test your urine using sticks around the time that you believe you ovulate...you could start earlier like CD 10 if you dont know when you do to cover your bases...you could also invest in a CBEFM which you test everyday for a certain # of days and it measures LH & Estrogen so it gives you not just the LH surge but the days leading up to your surge...

This is our 4th cycle trying and I just started temping and using OPKS this month. I actually learned that I ovulated 2 or 3 days later than fertilityfriend had predicted, which may explain why we haven't had luck yet. The first 3 cycles we would tire ourselves out during fertilityfriend's recommended fertile days, and then would need a break. But now that I temped this month and used OPKs I found out we should have continued trying a few more days because I O later in my cycle. It couldn't hurt to try temping and/or OPKs. I got cheap opk sticks from amazon, so I was able to test a few times a day when I thought I was getting closer to ovulating. Good luck!

thanks everyone!! i usually just go by the days on FF; and sometimes if the mood hits us we do it other days too LOL but no luck yet! Weird spotting this month; but i think it's getting heavier so I'm sure AF is on her way!

Maybe I'll start using the cheap sticks next month so i have a better idea of when we need to BD.

it can def be a frustrating process.. trust me i know!

a opk will def help bc u could have been ovualting later or earlier than u thought

I never thought it would be this hard and exhausting... physically and mentally. It seems like it happened right away for everyone but me I know it's not the case, but that's how I feel at times.
