has anyone had a problem with huggies overnights or target diapers and rashes?
I'm trying to get to the bottom (literally) of my kids' diaper rashes. They've been using target diapers since August with no issues. I recently moved up a size in Huggies Overnights and their rashes started soon after that. TIA

My DD has very sensitive skin and could not use Huggies diapers due to that sheethy meshy plastic layer inside. The only ones she would use were Pampers.

I have not ever had a problem with Huggies overnights and rashes. It's both of them?

No problems with specific brands. But if DD is teething she gets them pretty bad. She also went through a period where she was sleeping a lot! She would sleep at night for over 12 hours and developed a fungal rash. The doctor gave us a special cream and cleared it right up. But it was a pretty bad rash.

Yeah. they both have had minor redness for about 2 weeks. ive been using butt paste but it hasnt gone away. then dd woke up with a dirty diaper and a HORRIBLE rash Monday (in the huggies). Yesterday the same thing happened to DS at dinner (in target).

I was like wow you can even have dinner in target?
If its both brands of diapers and both kids, maybe it's something they're both eating?

actually you can!
Yeah, that's my next thought.. except they ate different things those different times. I'm inclined to think it's a minor stomach flu which caused some acidic poop.

DD got a rash when I tried target diapers a few months ago. Nothing was getting rid of it, I switched back to luvs and it went away. I never had an issue with huggies overnights but I've only tried them a few times.

We have been using Target diapers for maybe 2 weeks and huggies overnight for maybe 1! Back to cruisers!

If it's not clearing up it could be fungal. You can get a script from your doc.

i was trying to treat it fungally but it wasnt going away. then dd woke up one morning and it was 1000 times worse, she had had diahhrea and threw up so i took her to the doc. she gave her an antiobiotic cream and it's almost completely cleared up. im going to use the same cream on ds (she told me to) but im wondering if i need to change diapers.

Aw, hope they are feeling better. My favorite has always been pampers. I feel like they wick away the moisture a bit better than others. But overall I haven't noticed such a difference brand to brand and target is much cheaper. Maybe even for a little while go with pampers until it clears up. Or whichever brand you choose to switch to.

I'm so glad you posted this! DD had her first diaper rash about 2 weeks ago (we just had started to use huggies overnights recently). She also had a lot of red bumps all over in her diaper area. The ped gave us nystatin and it cleared up but came back even worse the other day. Taking her back to the dr on Monday. We use Target brand during the day and never had a problem. I did hear they changed their diapers recently. So I am trying to see if it was the new pack of Target diapers or the Huggies that may have caused it.

Where did you hear that about changing the diapers?

DD gets rashes with target, huggies overnite, and pampers dry max.
At night, I use my regular pampers swaddlers or cruisers but double diaper her.

I remember reading about it somewhere recently. Not sure how true it is. I'll try to find where I read it.
ETA: I must have read it on another forum. Seems like it's just a coincidence bc they changed them back in 2012.

Same thing happened to my BFF with twin boys. They both got an awful rash after one night in buggies.she took to dr and dr said they both had yeast infection and actually had nothing to do with huggies
I have used huggies overnights for 12 months and never had an issue
Hope they are doing better

I had similar diaper rash issues, not from diapers but from just lots of big girl poops. I found that switching to just water and a soft cloth for pee diapers helped. I also use the antibiotic ointment when it got bad and triple paste, and it worked. During the day I use Seventh Generation or Pampers Swaddlers once in awhile. At night I always use Pampers Extra protection.... Love them! Do you use a barrier on them with every change like Vaseline?

Re: has anyone had a problem with huggies overnights or target diapers and rashes?
We've been using target diapers for a long time and never had an issue until 2 months ago I bought a box and both boys got a rash from them but not on their butts, on their lower back where the top of the diaper is. The whole box did it to both of them. We didn't have an issue with them after that until two weeks ago we bought a box and the whole box did the same thing!

OMG Target gave Brielle a blistery rash. We use Pampers swaddlers. Sometimes cruisers but I find swaddlers to give less of a rash. Baby Dry also gave a bad rash.

Re: has anyone had a problem with huggies overnights or target diapers and rashes?
My kids have reactions to diapers with a lot of chemicals in them. Target brand, Pampers Baby Dry and Huggies Snug and Dry all gave my first rashes. Bad rashes. I used cloth 95% of the time with my second and never had an issue until I put him in disposables when we traveled. He wouldn't react to Huggies Pure and Natural so we stuck with those for traveling.
With my third, I've used only generation earth or Pampers Swaddlers without issue. She was a little red when she got her first tooth but that cleared up with some Aquaphor. I try to keep thing natural. I wipe her clean with every change, air dry for a bit and then put her in diaper, no cream or ointment unless she's red.
