Has anyone ever done the run up The Empire State Building?
Not that I plan to do it
I was just watching Kelly & Michael and she did it yesterday with a time of 18:15. That seems very impressive for 86 floors!
Just wondering if anyone here ever did it. And what the experience was like?

Re: Has anyone ever done the run up The Empire State Building?
My DH did it last night! He didn't get his official time yet but he's thinking it was 20 mins.
2 years ago he did the Climb to the Top of The Roc....in 15 mins.
He says the worst part is the dry air in the stairwells. His legs hurt him on day 2 after the climb. He also runs marathons and boxes so he's a lot better shape than me. lol.
He's nuts.

Wow I can barely walk up one flight of stairs without getting winded and exhausted!

Me too
The more I think about this, the more I would like to do it. Wonder what kind of training needs to be done.
OK..I think I'm putting this on my list of "things to do"!
I really should start a vision board to keep me focused.

The American lung association does stair climbs. The NYC one is this Saturday (still scheduled may change due to weather). It's "only". 55 flights. I was so excited to participate this year, my team raised over $1k, but the weather isn't promising :(
