Shooting at Empire State building
This just came across on Yahoo
Multiple people shot near Empire State Building.
No other information just yet.
A co-worker of mine got off at Times Square to walk to work and she said there were firetrucks everywhere and that streets were closed down.
Not sure what is going on or if the two have anything to do with one another.

yeah I walked through. There were TONS of fire trucks all on broadway. I walked through not knowing what happened. Everyone walking through was looking up so I figured there was some sort of fire. Just terrible that it was a shooting.

DEVELOPING: Multiple people were shot Friday near the Empire State building in Manhattan, the New York City Police Department confirmed to FoxNews.com.
Authorities said at least three or four victims have been wounded in the shooting and that the gunman is dead. It is not clear if the gunman shot himself or was shot by someone else.
A fire department spokesman said it received a call about the shooting just after at 9 a.m. Friday and that emergency units were on the scene within minutes.
The spokesman had no information about how many people were wounded or their conditions.
The shooting occurred at 34th Street and Fifth Avenue.

Ny Post is reporting 10 people shot. 2 dead. A bystander and the cops shot the shooter and killed him.
How terrifying. it seems to be an argument among coworkers and not a terrorist thing.
Today at the Empire State Building after four people were shot.
A dispute between coworkers exploded into gunfire outside the Empire State Building this morning, leaving at least two dead including the gunman and an innocent bystander -- and a total of 10 people shot, sources said.
Responding cops killed the gunman shortly after 9 a.m. at the jam-packed intersection of 34th Street and Fifth Avenue.
"It's unclear what sparked the deadly argument, which happened in the heart of the morning rush on a street loaded with commuters and tourists.
The shot bystanders include a female who died from her wounds, the sources said.
Others were shot in the buttocks and legs.
The victims were taken to St. Luke's Hospital and Bellevue.
Traffic is being diverted around the scene.
