Had a scare today
I had an OB appointment at 9am today. Usually I go in the afternoon, but since I haven't been sleeping well, I decided to get up early and get it done with.
For those of you that have been following my sciatica story--I finally found out what it's doing to my body today. The nurse took my blood pressure right at 9 (a little less than 2 hours after I woke up) and it was 150/90. My blood pressure is always nice and low. My OB was really concerned and wanted to monitor me. But when I told her how much pain waking up involves, she attributed it to that (when I've gone later in the day, after that muscle has loosened up, it's always been normal).
She gave me the go-ahead to get the MRI tomorrow at the orthopedist, and even suggested going on Vicodin if this doesn't resolve itself soon.
I knew I was in lots of pain and under lots of stress, but I didn't realize how much damage it could really be doing to the baby

How do you feel about having an MRI while pregnant? I'm sure the Dr. wouldn't let you go if it would harm the baby but I would feel very apprehensive about it. What about taking vics? I'm sure you're in a whole lot of pain, and I don't think tylenol is gonna help you out but I'm not sure if I would take vics while pg. I feel so bad for you my heart goes out to you back pain is so joke I've been in and out o PT 3 times in 2 years. Hope there's some relief in sight for you! How much longer until you're due?

I'm sorry you're going through all that. Pain is awful. My BP was up today too (not that high) because my pain level is almost a 10 right now.
I hope the MRI can let them know what's going on.
