Had a bit of a scare today - UPDATE
Hi Girls...so today I went to a bridal shower at the Swan Club. Well in the middle of my prime rib meal my nose started bleeding profusely. I went to the bathroom with my niece and it wouldn't stop. Long story short they had to call EMS because my pulse was racing and they needed to take my blood pressure. Thankfully my BP was OK, but they told me to head to the hospital if it happens again. I refused to go there since I live in suffolk and I would've been taken to Glen Cove hospital.
This past week at my 24 week appt. my blood prssure was elevated and I'm battling a summer cold. So tomorrow morning I'll be calling my OB/GYN and hope to see him. I got soo nervous and felt embarrassed and felt bad about my this all happening at the bridal shower.
I'm relaxing at home now and my 14 month old DS is staying with my parents tonight.
I know nose bleeds can be normal during prgnancy but since I suffer from chronic high blood pressure and it as elevated I'm just nervous.

*UPDATE*
Sorry for the late update.....Went to the Dr. and really wasn't satisfied. I didn't see my main Dr. because he was booked so maybe that's it. They really didn't tell me anything I didn't know already and just referred me to an ENT. On the positive side they checked the baby and his heartbeat and all was good there. Apparently my nose could be bleeding for a number of reasons, my summer cold, high blood pressure, it's common during pregnancy.

Thanks ladies. I promise I'll keep everyone posted.
I'm feeling OK today,....but yesterday I felt OK also and this happened. I'm going to see my doc at 3pm. I rather him give me a once over.
I'll post an update after my appt.
