guarantee
anyone ever read those books on how to guarantee that you have a girl/boy? do u believe in this? ex. BD'ing even numbers of the month, missionary position, eating chocolate and fresh veggies, etc. will make you have a girl?

Honestly? It's not even something I think about AT ALL.
Right now we are focused on making a baby - ANY gender! It's been hard enough get pregnant at all, there's no way I would limit my chances by only BDing on certain days so I could possibly have a baby of a certain gender.

I agree.
But in terms of people who WANT to do this- I do believe it, but I think it makes conceiving much more difficult, because you can only BD certain days. I don't think it matters what you eat, it's because "boy" sperm is faster, but dies quicker, so the closer to O you BD, the more likely it is to have a boy. The "girl" sperm swim slower, but are stronger and live longer.

I totally agree with u! I don't agree with limiting your chances either; I just came across this article when looking at boys and girls names and saw this subject come up and was wondering if anyone believes in it....

I've read the studies and I think the statistics even when using the mentined methods are VERY low to gurantee teh desired sex you are aiming for.
YOu could always try, which limits your chances of getting PG because I think you need to BD only like 1x on a specific day and there is still a good chance you will get the opposite sex you are aiming for!

My mother swears by it... she did what the "Shettles" method suggests and it worked for all four of us. In fact, her second pregnancy she wanted a boy and got twins... but of course that had nothing to do with Shettles Methods.  If you look up "Shettles" method on any search engine, it will come up.

i remember googling on this... and there were some women trying for a certain type and it still didnt work......
I guess it doesnt hurt to try- but the theory I saw, i think you give up certain days to try and get one gender and im more concerned over having a kid so i didnt want to try it
