GTG idea for a mom's night out

I'm wondering if anyone is interested in doing this. I'm always looking to get out of the house and I'm pressed for time to cook meals. Super Suppers offers private parties. For anyone that doesn't know, they're a prepare ahead meal service. Where they provide you with the ingredients already chopped and ready to go and you prepare and take home for your freezer a certain # of main dishes. You have to have a minimum # of entrees/people in order to set up a party. I also thought this would be a neat way to test it out and see if any of us want to sign up for their sessions afterward. It's not cheap but if we had at least 16 people interested then each person would take home 3 entrees but each entree feeds 4-6 people that would be $75 pp. I'd arrange a weeknight and they provide us with appetizers and sangria to enjoy while we cook. We can also bring in wine if we want. Sound like a lot of fun but I'm not sure if we'd have 16 people interested. What do you think? It's in Bethpage.

SuperSuppers

ETA: if you have a small family where it's only the two of you eating then you can also split the entrees into 2 and you will end up with 6 entrees that feed
2-3 people.

That's too far, but those of us that are interested in something closer, they have one in Stony Brook and also West Islip.

I would definitely prefer to split the meals because it's only Dh and me. I always end up wasting so much food and $.

Re: GTG idea for a mom's night out

I might be interested. But I would have to split the entree. It's just me and DH.

It also depends what day it would be. I cannot do Thursday nights.

If we get close to enough people then I'll try doing a poll on which night we'll do.

Re: GTG idea for a mom's night out

I used to work there, at the one in Bethpage, til I had DD.

Speak with Holly, she is the owner and a real sweetheart.

I've done GTGs there before, always a big hit.

It is the BEST thing for pregnant women and busy moms. Even if there are only 2 of you, split the entrees and they will serve 2-3. So you may have leftovers for lunch the next day!

I was there today, September menu is awesome.

Re: GTG idea for a mom's night out

ok we seem to have a decent # of people but for a GTG at Bethpage we're still falling short of 16 people. I'm going to bump again and also let me know if you've got any friends that you think would want to go with you?
