Growing Out DD's Bangs
The maintenance of trimming her bangs is way too much. They grow like weeds and I don't have the time to take her to the hair salon once a month, nor will she sit still to let me trim them myself. She'll be 3 in May and while I know headbands are a fan favorite, she won't keep them on. I've tried these Goody clips to no avail. They stay in for like 5 minutes and by the time we get to daycare in the morning, they slipped out and the bangs are in the face again. I tried to grow her bangs out a few months ago and got so frustrated that I just trimmed them, but this time I'm committed! HELP! Image Attachment(s):

Re: Growing Out DD's Bangs
I used those little clear rubber bands that come like a couple hundred in the bag, I think goodie makes them too, and tie a little half pony on top or on side.

Re: Growing Out DD's Bangs
I’ve grown both my girls bangs out. I used the small rubber bands and would put a small amount of hair up and pull the bangs into them.

Like others said the little poly bands work well. The ones from scunci girl ate my favorite.
Also, bows with alligator clips worked great. If you go on Amazon, there are different sets and sizes. They're really inexpensive, like 20 colors for under $10. The alligator clips don't slip out even in really fine toddler hair and I think they helped train dd's hair to stay out of her face. Wish I'd used them with dd1 too.
