greetings from the hospital ...UPDATE 7/28 the hits keep coming
oops hit enter before i started typing!
well just wanted to give a quick update that I am still here at the hospital almost a week later. I was told I will be here until at least 28 weeks which is 3 weeks from tomorrow....but possibly the remainder of the pregnancy. I am still only 1 cm dilated but my cervix is very short and have been having contractions. Dr's have been switching up my meds to try to stop the contracions. Hopefully, we can keep these babies in as long as possible!
on top of me being here, it is such a stressful time. We are supposed to be moving from the city to upstate this weekend. My family has been great and came to help DH with packing and stuff, but I just feel bad that DH has all of this to handle on his own. Then on top of that...DH went out to his car yesterday and discovered that it was broken into. Someone threw a rock through the back window and stole like 10-12k worth of his work equipment. We can't catch a break!!!! Just another thing we don't need to deal with right now....poor DH. He has been so great so far, but I just feel so bad for everything he has to deal with!
Anyway, just wanted to thank everyone again for all of the thoughts and prayers you have been sending me and the babies
UPDATE 7/28:
it's just one thing after another! I am still here in the hospita,l obviously, and we've been dealing with all the moving stuff, getting DHs car fixed after the break in, etc. Well, I just found out this morning that DH's grandpa passed away He was 95 and has been sick for awhile, but I just not expecting him to pass away now. He was an awesome man and it makes me so sad. I completely broke down and cried hysterically to my Dr. (he probably thinks I am a nutcase now). On top of being sad about his grandpa, I am just so overwhelmed with everything going on right now which is what led to my breakdown. I also feel guilty I won't be able to attend the funeral services...obviously the family understands and his grandpa would've wanted me to be here taking care of the babies, but I can't help feel bad.
I am hoping for some better news soon!

Glad to hear you and the babies are doing well. SO sorry to hear about your DH's car. That stinks! I hope goes well with the move this weekend.

Ugh, what a nightmare! Everything going on all at once. I'm sure its hard to focus, but the most important thing, those babies, are still hanging on tight!
Stress is totally the WORST thing for your cervix, so try not to think about it all. Your husband has a handle on it all, as does your family. You just worry about keeping those babies in!

OMG! so sorry you and your DH are going through all that! I know how stressful that can be. I am so glad the babies are doing well. Not easy to be in the hospital on hospital bedrest with meds up the you know what but it is all worth it in the end.
As you know, I have been in the hospital for almost 2 weeks now. Yes, you have your good and bad days, but at this point I can tell you I am having more good than bad. It's worth it!!!
Keep up the good work mama!!

I am so sorry about the loss of your DH's grandpa. I think with everything that you have been going through it is totally NORMAL for you to breakdown. Slowly but surely things will start to get better.

i am so sorry Kel!!
my only advice is dont worry about everything going on on the outside like the move and stuff. there is nothing you can do.
Just try to focus on you and you meatballs and know that the hospital is the best place for all of you
i know its easier said than done. Hang in there

Oh no, I'm so sorry for your loss. How awful. The only thing you can do is think of him, pray for him, and support your DH and family at this time in any way you can from the hospital. It is so important that you don't get stressed out! So try to keep in mind, like you said, that his grandpa knows you love him and knows you would do anything to be there, but you simply can't.
Again, I'm so sorry. Try to hang in there!!

oh no, Kelley!!! You cant get a break. I'm sooo sooo sorry for all this extra stress. I'm sorry for you and your husband's loss :(
I'm sure you feel completely helpless right now. Ugh...you two really need to catch a break.

Sometimes when it rains it really pours :( I'm sorry about your DH's Grandfather. Sending lots of prayers for your family.
I know it's hard to relax in the hospital especially with everything you have going on right now but just think of the end result and stay as positive as you can. Hang in there!
