Got my first internal exam
OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!
That was so not pleasant. 
But also got a growth sono and little man is lookin good! Cervix is starting to thin but doc thinks I'll prob be around my due date. maybe even late.

I'm not looking forward to my first internal, they did the swab yesterday and of course I bled... yeesh

Oh no, you bled from the swab?? That was nothing compared to the exam

I had my first one last week and my second one today...last weeks didnt hurt at all, this week I can't say the same and no change at all. Im so frustrated I just want DS here already

I was 38 weeks. I had the Group B test at 37 weeks.

My first internal will be 38 weeks too, but I'm getting the Strep B test done at 35 weeks. Not looking forward to either!

The Strep B test was nothing, just a quick swab.
I guess, in the grand scheme of things to come (um, LABOR), the internal wasn't horrible either...... but eowww.

Carey!! Just had my third one today and as always, it's uncomfortable but for me not painful. Try not to be too nervous since being tense will likely make it worse. Just relax it is totally fine!! More pressure than anything else.
ETA: Had my first at 36+6, then 37+6 and today at 38+5.

all they do is push in to your cervix and feel your cervix. I thought it was close to being the same as when you go for an annual and they check for your ovaries... no biggie

I got three. 37 weeks, 38 weeks, 39 weeks. had baby 1 day before 40 week appt.
and for me, they HURT!!! they stripped my membranes each time though and I think that is what supposed to hurt.

It might depend on who is doing the exam. When I had DS and my doc did it- they hurt. When the resident did it at the hospital it didn't hurt at all.
