Got "interesting" beta results today - *FINAL UPDATE*
Today is 10dp3dt (after my first IVF cycle).
I took an HPT this morning and it was negative. 
Went for my beta and found out from Dr. B that it came back at 9.
Dr. B said HPTs don't detect until it's at 30, so that makes sense. He said at this point, it's 50/50 whether the number is on its way down or on its way up. I go back on Saturday for a repeat beta.
This morning I was devastated with my BFN (cried to myself on my drive to have the beta done - side note: I freakin' hate infertility). But, with this new information, I am actually feeling more positive. Because, in the 2 years we've been TTC, I have never had a positive pregnancy test (never had a beta before either). So now, we at least know the embryos implanted at some point. Dr. B said that if this doesn't work out, he'll be able to run some other tests to see what could have caused the problem.
So, whatever the case, at least we'll have MORE information to go on!
Of course, I PRAY that my number doubles (or is it triples??) on Saturday. But, to be honest, my gut says it won't (I had very sore boobs last week, which totally went away this week). But, either way, I think I can keep a positive outlook.
Any prayers you have to spare, I'll gladly accept them. 
Saturday UPDATE:
2nd Beta came back at 14.
So, I'm still in limbo. Since the number didn't go down (but obviously didn't double), I have to go back on Monday to test again.
Dr. B said he's seen this happen (in the positive direction), but of course, at this point, it's still totally inconclusive (and statistically, my chances dropped lower than the initial 50/50). He said that if this is in fact a real pregnancy, on Monday the numbers should skyrocket. If they don't greatly improve, he'll have to test for a tubal pregnancy or assume chemical.
I have to say, I honestly believed the number would go DOWN, so I don't even know how to feel or what to think right now.
Please keep those prayers coming. Thank you everyone, SO MUCH, for all your support!
Monday UPDATE:
3rd beta came back at 21.
Obviously, this is not good. Dr. B basically said I have 0% chance of it being viable, but he still wants me to go one more time on Wednesday to triple check.
I'm ready to move on. 
Wednesday (final) UPDATE:
4th beta came back at 10. I'm happy that it's going down on its own! Definitely not ectopic.
I'll be calling tomorrow to schedule a consult for next week (plus, some testing). Totally ready to move on!!
Thanks so much for all your support. It really means so much and helps a LOT to get through this cr*p.

Did you see my post on the other thread?
My last PG started off as a 6. Dr. B told me the same thing- didn't know if the #'s were going up or down. He also had told me they had a pregnancy once that started off as a 4.
You never know! It could be a late implanter, and remember- you did a day 3 transfer, and I always did a day 5. So, I had a 6 on a day 5 transfer and you have a 9 w/ a day 3.
Don't do a HPT on Sat. either... (even if it doubles/triples, it still won't be over 30 and you might get a false negative) Maybe for a day 3 it was a bit early? (What do I know though)
The ONLY reason I lost that baby was due to a genetic issue.

Edited to say- OMG- after reading what I wrote, it's so sad to talk about what day we did a transfer as if it was a standard appt. !!! Infertility is H E L L!!! it's a gruling experience that none of us should have to endure!!!
