Google home or Amazon Echo?
I was planning to get an amazon echo but I just saw a commercial for google home and it looked pretty cool.
Is anyone considering or have one of these?
One better than the other?

same here. My kids mess with it so much, that all i've done is say "alexa, shut up"
and this morning it started beeping at 6:45 am for no apparent reason.

Google home or Amazon Echo?
Google will provide you better results when asking general question.
Amazon is cool causes its like to your Prime account and you can order/make list,etc..
There is more automation features with Amazon but thats only because its been out a while. Home doesn't talk to too many things right now (Hue lights, nest) but more coming soon.
I enjoy both for different reasons. If i had one, home is a better product that will only get better. I never ordered anyting remotely from alexa. cool concept but havn't done it yet.

We use it a lot to play pandora. shopping list feature is awesome because instead of leaving for the store and realizing my list is on the table, I just go into my Alexa app and it's right there. Not just what I need, but DHs list too. If DH is at Home Depot, instead of depending on me to remember that 2 second convo about needing electrical tape, we just say aloud "Alexa, put electrical tape on the shopping list" done and done.
We also like the weather & traffic feature and that you can open her up to do So many other things on the app itself.
I was playing 20 questions while mopping the floors lol
We are really enjoying the echo and the dot.
