Goodbye Afghanistan!!! He just boarded the plane..thought this day would never come!!!
I am so so happy i could burst. DH left afghanistan an hour ago (if all went according to plan)
It'll be 4 days till I see him (takes so long to get out of there, 3 different flights) but his journey there is OVER.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving. I will post pics from the airport on thursday!!! Thanks to all those who offered kind words and prayers during these hard months for me and my boys.
And remember...in the craziness of the holidays..there is NOTHING IN THE WORLD MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR LOVED ONES. Material stuff is just that. Material. Remember to tell those you love how much you love them, and do something charitable if you have money to spare. I try to help a family in need every year but this year I'm trying even harder because this experience has just put a lot in perspective.
Thanks again, the support has been so comforting.
