going to contract - is this normal?

Is it normal for both the buyer and seller to sign contracts without the lawyers seeing them first? (I'm the seller)

Well didnt at least one lawyer review it since they drafted the contract? If the buyer doent have an atty review it that is their problem.

definitely not - our lawyer looked it over thoroughly first and went back and forth with the other attorney a few times to make adjustments before we signed...

Absolutely not. The seller's attorney drafts the contract and sends it to the buyer's attorney who will review it and then negotiate any necessary revisions to the contract.

I don't think thats normal.

Our sellers attorney drew up the contract and forwarded it to our attny. Our attny reviewed the contract (and made some changes to protect us) before going over it with us. Then we signed and sent it back to their attny to go over with the sellers to sign.
