Going to a 40's themed wedding reception next week. wwyd? UPDATED WITH PURchASE and NEED HELP~
it is totally 40's and formal.
was toying with the idea of doing it up 40's glam style...after one of the gorg actresses of the day.
If YOU were going, WHICH actress/look would you replicate if any?
If you were ME, who would you go as?

bought this dress in BLACK
 (link b/c nordstroms site isn't loading properly)
am thinking this dress needs an updo rather than loose curls...what do you think?
also any accessories suggestions?
I am probably wearing these shoes (in black)
though I also have silver, red, and eggplant coloured heals I could wear....
please post as many suggestions as you can...the wedding is TOMORROW! 
and don't forget to be FRUGAL

Mae West came to mind, although I know she wasn't the 40's.
I'm not to familiar with the actresses back than, but I love their style. The pictures from this wedding will look awesome if everyone sticks to the theme.

I am kicking myself b/c I cut my hair recently.
the longest layers are now a bit past my shoulders, but not by much.
I am going for it anyway...
and totally red lips! wahoo!

Also, Pearls were very big in the 40's
maybe a long strand on pearls with a knot 1/2 down.

Peronally, I woudln't do a necklace. I'd do a brouch in my hair.. maybe pulling the side back a bit, then a bracelet.. something blingy!!
