Going off oral contraceptives..

I've been lurking on this site for a while and this is my first post. I'm thinking of going off oral contraceptives to get pg.

Now, I've been on oral contraceptives for 10 years with no breaks. I'm scared of what to expect. I understand some people gain a few pounds, get a few zits while their hormones get re-adjusted, etc.

Has anyone had major side effects? I'm scared I'll grow facial hair or something..or lose all my hair on my head.

Going off oral contraceptives..

I lost a few pounds when I went off actually. And I did break out a few times, but nothing crazy. The most significant change was the cramps that i never had on the pill.

i am no expert but i am pretty sure those things will not happen

it's a risk but if u wanna have a baby u gotta get off the pill

The only side effect I've had coming off the pill is break outs the week before my period and crazy cramps when she comes!!! Haven't lost my hair lol and haven't grown crazy facial hair. You'll be fine. All those things can be fixed anyway wtih waxing or a wig LOL!

Same for me i was one for 10 yrs w/o stopping. just be prepared for weird cycles . Symptom wise...First two months off I was fine...this month I had/have crazy back-ne lol it has not this bad since I first started getting af at 11. That being said nothing that a little neutropenia body wash didn't clear up! But the plus is I thing my hormones are back on track!


Oh and af has been lighter and less days then when I had my period on the pill which is amazing!
