Going home for Christmas is not looking so good.....UPDATE
DH hasn't felt well since yesterday, now I'm not feeling well (both have stomach aches). AND I just checked weather.com.  The same flight we are taking tomorrow was delayed four hours yesterday.
The thought of not being home for Christmas makes me very sad but the thought of being delayed for hours and hours with an almost 15 month old makes me want to  also.

oh I hope you don't have that nasty stomach flu that is going around...I just had it and was out of work all week! It is horrible...Feel better!
and I totally feel you...I'm flying to NY on Christmas Eve...lets see how that goes

Sorry to hear that!!! But I HATE flying in bad weather like today so it's always better safe than sorry!!!! Are you still planning to make the trip before Christmas???

Thanks everyone. I wish driving were an option. My back hasn't been feeling up to doing much, let alone driving. This stinks. But I'm on a mission to try and make it a great Christmas for us and get our spirits up.
I'm up for any suggestions!

Oh no I hope both you and DH are feeling better. I am sorry your flight got cancelled. I am in the same boat as you as far as celebrating with family (my family has not missed christmas eve since 1977) - I've come to realize as long as I have DH and DD I really can't ask for anything more.

My sister, bil and 3 kids were supposed to fly in from LA on Friday, but their flight was cancelled (the one before and one after were delayed). They are supposed to come in today at 6 - I am praying they make this flight. I haven't seen them in 4 months and Christmas won't be the same without them.

Josh and I are heading uptown to see a Christmas orchestra full of bears... for free
its at founders hall near BOA.
Tomorrow night we are probably doing our annual drive through Christmas town in McAdensville. Its a really nice night to have.
I will keep you posted.
this is my first christmas without visitors so I am trying to keep us busy.
have you gone to northlake mall's polar express? its cute and snowing inside snowglobe.

I know it sux not being able to be with your family around this time. We're not able to go to NY to see my family. I know it won't be the same but we'll try to make the best of it. The bright side like you said is not traveling with young kids.

Can you get another flight out tomorrow or something? If they cancelled your flight there should be something the airlines will do for you in return.

I know this is not the Christmas you had planned, but it will be nice for it to be quiet, and you can really spend some quality family time together and find some fun things to do.
