Glass Bottle? and Dr Browns ?
So I'm going to switch DD out of the Playtex Drop Ins for a number of reasons...the drop ins get pricey after a while and mainly my dog loves to go into the garbage (he knows how to open the lid ) and eat the liners
So I'm debating between getting the Born free Glass, Evenflo Glass or Dr Browns Glass. The Born Free are but I like that they have a vent for gas but getting new bottles and nipples is going to cost a fortune. The Dr. Browns glass are more reasonable in price but I don't have a dishwasher so I'm wondering how hard they are to clean. Lastly I'm also looking at the good old affordable Evenflo glass which when DD first came home we had...she didn't take to the nipple too well but in all fairness I only gave it like 2 tries before I threw in the towel and bought the Playtexs. I don't want to start her on a bottle that will give her gas. DD is almost 4 months old. Which ones do you suggest? TIA.

I used the Evenflo glass and loved them. My DD has thrown them everywhere and I wasn't nervous about them chipping. They are made very well.
Good luck in your decision!!!

Re: Glass Bottle? and Dr Browns ?
maybe try again with the evenflo bottles you already have. if dc takes them and does ok gas-wise then that solves the problem!
i have been using the dr. brown's glass bottles and i love them. yes, the are a pain in the arse to clean, but they are well worth it imo because ds has been gas-free since i started using them. to make the washing a little easier i bought the dr. brown's dishwasher case for the bottle parts. it was only like 5 bucks and it works really well.
in terms of other bpa-free bottles, i have tried born free and nuby. the born free continued to give ds gas, and he literally couldn't get a drop out of the nuby, something about their nipple.
good luck!

Re: Glass Bottle? and Dr Browns ?
i EBF but have the dr browns for my ILs when they babysit. i love them. they also have a small vent for the air to go out of the bottles. i always washed them in warm soapy water (and broiled them once a while). i don't think they're hard to wash at all. they give you a thin brush for that extra tube it comes with.
i recently bought the drop in playtex to try. i like the nipple on it (cuz it's more to the natural breast) and also i don't have to wash but i'm more comfortable with the dr. browns one. i guess cuz i can see the bubbles disappear from the milk so i know DS is not getting much gas.
