I think it was 6 hours. But my water had already broken and I had already had cytotec before pitocin

With DS it was about 4 hours after the pitocin, but i was already there for 4 hours walking and contracting after my water broke.

With DD i went in at 8 am, i was 3 cm and 100% effaced and she was born at 11:52 am, so less than 4 hours.

DC#1-no Pitocin only cytotek, 1 cm & 70% effaced- 10p first dose and born at 2:15 pm. So 16 hours start to finish.

DC#2- 3cm & 70%- was already having very mild contractions every 2 mins. Pitocin started at 8:30a and born at 3:30. So 7 hours start to finish.

Hi, in my case I didn't need pitocin, the cervadil was enough to get me going... My water broke around 8:30pm Wednesday night, got to the hospital around 9, they put in the Cervadil maybe an hour later... wasn't making much progress at first, although my contraction pain was bad I was still only maybe 1cm dilated and they wouldn't give me the epi until I was at least 4... finally around 4am they gave me the epi and by 9am I was fully dilated. I pushed for 45 minues and had DS around 10am Thursday morning. So, all in all I would say from when they put in the cervadil it took about 11-12 hours until DS was born.

Both inductions, cervadil started around 1am and pitocin around 6am I think? My kids were born at 7:21pm and 6:44pm that day so like 12hrs.

First DC - I was 3cm dilated and about 70% effaced. Pitocin started at 1pm and delivered 10am the next morning. It was successful but it was an awful experience just because I couldn't get the epi and they wouldn't let me eat or get out of bed.

With my second, I was about the same dilation and had about three hours of pitocin (again no epi). After the contractions got unbearable I had them shut it off and my body did the rest - just shutting off the pit was like pain relief!

I wasn't technically induced, but with my second i had membranes stripped at about 2pm friday. Contractions started about 330pm intense and close together. At 11pm got to the hospital. Only 3cm. By 8am they slowed down and I was only 4cm. One dr wanted to send me home. The other wanted to break my water and start pitocin, and that's what I opted for. Pitocin was started around 915/930am. By 10:30am I was 9cm. Baby was born 10:59 am. I was 39 weeks
