"Girls steal your beauty" ...?
I have had people tell me that they think I'm having a boy because I still look good and still pretty. Is there any truth to this old wives tale? I have seen women look beautiful all the way through, and they gave birth to girls. Each of my coworkers said that when they had girls, their faces changed and nose spread wider. What's been your experience?

people tell me that my little girl will look exactly like my DH because I haven't changed and I am having a girl....
I am also carrying small which goes against the old wives tale of girls too.

I had a girl, and I think (and from what people told me), I never looked better. Old wives tale wasn't true for me.

everyone told me i was having a boy bc i looked the same - i believed them
we were 
the dr announced - its a  and DH and i were in shock!
i looked back at my baby shower pictures and others throughout the pregnant and think everyone lied to me and i must have been blind bc i def changed while pregnant
i look like i was carrying a girl

NOT TRUE!!!
I looked pretty good while pregnant with DD. Family friends found it hard to believe I was having a gril because of this stupid tale. I had to tell most I had an amnio done and I was 100% sure it was a girl.lol

Eh- all old wive's tales BS.
I think I looked exactly the same with my girl- until maybe the very end when I was swelling so badly that I might have looked fuller in the face. (and the feet, and the ankles )
I also carried - all boy- according to the tales- very small and in front- like I swallowed a soccer ball.
Oh and if you REALLY want to get down to the nitty gritty, DD looks ALL like my DH.
So does that mean she was stealing HIS beauty the whole time? I have to check pictures from the time I was pregnant to see if he got any uglier!

I had a girl and my skin, hair and nails never looked better - I was never sick, I was always told I looked glowing. So, I cant say for me that theres much truth to that.
This pregnancy however, I feel disgusting. Im pregnant with twins so Im not sure if thats it or maybe theres a boy or two in there. But i'll know soon!

I will be team until the end but I'm curious to find out if I have an excuse for the skin problems, cravings for sweets and swollen face I am rocking this pregnancy! I didn't have morning sickness at all but some of the other girl old wive's tales are happening to me. And my face looked different early on - like by 13 weeks.

This is an old wives tale- I am having a girl and my features have not changed. I had some breakouts early on but that was likely the increase in estrogen.

I had a little girl in 2011 and I had no issues with acne, body issues. All she gave me were stretch marks.

I think people who pass this gem about 'girls stealing your beauty' onto women who are/are suspected to be carrying girls should be punched in the face. Just saying.

with my dd my face definitely changed. it made me feel like shiiit when people would say they could tell it was a girl because of that!!! but looking back at pictures, my face did change!!

I carried pretty nicely but my face definitely got a bit more round when I was pregnant with DD. I was never swollen, wore my rings right through delivery, and not a stitch of nausea. Every woman and every pregnancy is different but the face thing was true for me.

I am having two girls and so far everyone says I look good and I am glowing. I am carrying wide which I believe holds true (for me) with girls. My face has not changed....yet. Will let you know in a few weeks. I am only 19 weeks

I am almost 22 weeks with a and so far the shape of my face hasn't changed. I am noticing that I keep getting little annoying pimples on my face, nothing too bad, but I never had skin that was prone to pimples.

I think it was true for me too. W my son I was all belly and my hair was nice and thick, I'm having a girl now and my face is swollen, my butt and legs are tremendous, and my hairs dry and knotty.
