GINA409'S IVF JOURNAL...UPDATE 3/24 TRANSFER DONE!

I loved reading everyone else's journals and if mine could help anyone the way your guys helped me then that would be great.Here we go..

started ttc dec 2009..took the winging it approach..just regular old sex now and then without protection..
June2010 got pregnant,lost baby few weeks later
Saw OB..6 months wasted lol..5 rounds of clomid,and timed intercourse..was not monitored ata ll..never responded to clomid and really just wasted time

January 2011--began treatments with Dr.Braverman..have since had 8 IUI..pregnant twice more but again lost a few weeks later

DX--DH--nada
Me--PCOS..elevated LH,no ovulation,all that fun stuff...Hashimoto's,diabetic,but more important numerous clotting issues..2 copies MTHFR and protein S deficiency are my main 2 and had to put IVF on hold since i had a DVT blood clot in nov.


meds as of now

200mg lovenox
.75 dexamethesone
1500 metformin
metnax
baby asprin
and as of today bcp!!!!

STARTING DAY!!!!!!!

FEB 13TH 2012
blood and sono..all looks good..starting bcp tonight..2 weeks..little scared bc of the clots,esp when u leave the office with a warning of if i feel off or have any chest or leg pains go straight to the emergency room
go back in 2 weeks for another sono and they are doing a hysteroscope thing lol..

yay!!!! here goes nothing



UPDATE! 3/2/12

appt at Dr.B today..blood and sono

also had a Hysteroscopy done and ouch ouch ouch..it only hurt for 2 min but wow during those 2 min

all looks good..last bc pill tonight!
then 3 days off and tuesday start stims!!
tentative date for retreival is st patty's day..boy i wish my sicilian as$ was irish lol

so meds for now still

sono and blood..nothing really going on which he said was ok still early..he wanted to check nothing broke through

Update 3/12

blood and sono today..he had a hard time seeing my ovaries bc they r in such a bad spot...he actually said one of the worse placed ovaries he ever seen lol...then he moved on to my stomach to see better

he def saw a bunch..at least 5 pr 6 on one side and about 8 on the other all measuring around 12.he said wed he will be able to see better bc they will be bigger

after a battle with multiple pharmacies and one very generous lif'er i got the news med for tonight ganerelix and a antiobiotic both me and dh are on

so meds are

1000 mg cipro
ganerelix

UPDATE 3/14
blood and sono again today
LH went down,lining looks perfect!
they saw a bunch of follies biggest measuring 14..
going into the city tomorrow to meet Dr.z who will be doing the retrieval then back to Dr.B friday and prob doing the trigger

ER set for sunday or monday...and the retreival is being done through the abdomen bc of where my wonderful ovaries are!

UPDATE 3-16

APPT TODAY AND WAS TOLD MORE INFORMATION THATN MY BRAIN COULD HANDLE LOL

ER set for Monday morning at 730!

tomorrow night stay on all meds..morning do final asprin,lovenox and ganirelix,no more gonal after tonight!

then tomorrow at 9 pm sharp..40 units of lupron for a trigger!

also starting clindamycin supps for 3 nights..which were 60 bucks for 3 of them

sunday morning 9 am do a opk just to double check the trigger is going through!

then Monday after we get home i am doing 1500 units of HCG for a "boost"!

i also start PIO and vivelle patches

almost there!!!!!!!!

3/19 ER DONE!!!!!!!!!

ER done! was a quick time from what i remember lol...i do not even remember falling asleep but when i woke up i was dizzy and very very nauseous so i stayed there while getting more IV. I am bloated and sore but overall feel good...def got better as time went on..i was so sleepy for most of the day,they told me they gave me some pain meds in the iv so maybe that made me sleepy?? Grammercy was great and now for the most important part

18 EGGS!!!!!!!!!!! we are very very happy and pray pray pray for a good fert report

UPDATE! 3/20 FERT REPORT IS IN

they actually got 19 eggs and 14 fertilized!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


i could not believe it when they told me!

sandra said Dr.B called from africa to see how i did...super cool of him!


TRANSFER DONE!!!!!!!!!!!

WAS SO COOL...got to see our 2 little babies and get a pic to take home

the office was amazing and we actually laughed a lot making silly jokes with one another

cannot believe it is all done! i am going to quest on monday morning just to check progesterone and make sure my body is absorbinh the PIO

so for now still

PIO 2 cc
vivelle patches 3 patches every other day
will start supps on monday!

one more week to go before a beta



now if i can get it to post..here they are!

Can I ask why they put u on bcps? I am on 60 lovenox and was told never to use bcps again bc of the risk. Did ur doc go over that? Sorry just don't want u to get a dvt again!

i will not lie..i was surprised when he said it as well..i went in today thinking straight to stimming

but he said he really wants to suppress my ovaries and since i am on such a high dose of lovenox and the asprin and being monitored by my hemo i should be ok

then when i left sandra told me if i feel anything,pains in my legs chest etc go straight to hospital

i def left feeling nervous and a bit scared to be honest but i am going with doctor knows best

i hope its ok that I am posting here, not even really sure how I stumbled upon this but I wanted to offer and some hope! I too have Hashimotos, MTHFR (hetero), protein S defic, favor V leiden - the list goes on. I DID get pregnant, and I DID have a perfectly normal, healthy baby boy (with ZERO complications) though I was monitored like the world was ending.

it WILL happen for you and I wish you lots of in your journey
