gifts from your parents or inlaws to your LO
Do they write from santa also? My mother tells me other other day, most of the gifts they got for DD say from Abuela & Abuelo, but she said she has some from santa. I was like , what do you mean, santa doesn't come until christmas. (I thought parents where the only ones who left gifts from santa, not grandparents) I this normal or am I over reaching? Keep in mind, my mother and I don't have the best relationship

Re: gifts from your parents or inlaws to your LO
No neither side does that. When I was younger my grandfather used to dress up as Santa on Christmas Eve and he would bring us all 1 gift. It was really fun. That's a tradition I'd like to start with DS. I could see them doing something like that. But I would be upset if my Mom put Santa on any of the gifts she got him.

My mom has gifts labeled from Santa for DS. She talls him that Santa left them at her house for him. He's 2, he doens't understand yet.

My grandmother had gifts from santa as well. We lived at both my grandmother's and my mom's so it made sense.

No, but then again we're Jewish and "from Santa" doesn't go too well with the Hanukkah wrapping paper

Re: gifts from your parents or inlaws to your LO
My mother tried that ONCE. Handed my kids their presents (on Christmas Eve, so Santa had not even come yet) and said "Santa left these here for you!" and I said to my kids, (right in front of her).. "Grandma is just kidding. Those presents are from her. You guys know that Santa only comes to YOUR house and that he is coming tonight"...
My mother was pi$$ed.... but I told her, Santa comes yo my house. She got her turn to be Santa... now its my turn.

Re: gifts from your parents or inlaws to your LO
I would not to be happy with this. Santa gifts come from me and DH, no one else. My DS' Abuelita and Abuelito (my mom and dad) give him gifts that say they are from them. Moreso, since he spends so much time there, their gifts stay at their house for DS to play with, unless HE decides to take them from house to house, which he does sometimes. He's 2.

My parents do give gifts from Santa, but on Christmas Day. We say he forgot and dropped them at their house on his way to the North Pole

Re: gifts from your parents or inlaws to your LO
My parents do both. Since we go to their house on Christmas day the give some from santa and some from them. They just say that santa stopped by because he heard 2 good girls were visiting. MIL all are from her (mostly b/c shes wants the recognition.
Etd to add that it would never occur to me to be annoyed b/c they are gifts to my girls I don't care who they want to put they are from santa. It is just nice that they are so generous.

When I was growing up, there were always gifts from Santa at my grandparent's house so it doesn't bother me at all. I always liked it as a kid.
