Gift for holidays for someone who doesn't celebrate
I've become friendly with another mom at my kids preschool, they just came to my kids birthday party
I was thinking of getting them a gift for the holidays but i don't think they celebrate. (They are Muslim)
Do I just say happy holidays? Is it odd bc it's not a holiday for them? Does that make sense lol?
I just don't want to offend in any way

Don't worry about offending
A nice family gift like cookies, treats would be nice. Its the thought that counts

Muslim's celebrate "Milad un Nabi" or "The Prophet's Birthday" on December 13th. Exchanging gifts is a part of the celebration, so it would be appropriate.

You probably know this; my DH is Muslim. A small gift would be lovely, and you can simply wish them 'Happy Holidays". No alcohol - many Muslims don't drink :) Some Muslims follow a strict halal diet, so sticking with something like a nice candle or a small houseplant would be perfect, rather than something edible.

I wouldn't worry about offending either, but IDK that I would do food, after working in an office that is a different religion than I am, I very rarely gift food anymore
Is it for the family or the parents?
