GBS positive ladies....
...did you have your doctor stop internals?
I don't know the results of my test yet, I will ask tomorrow, but some women at work have been very persistent about not having an internal exam because the bacteria can be pushed up the birth canal and can cross the placenta, and infect the baby.

I never heard of this. I actually didn't know I was GBS positive until I checked into the hospital.
My OB didn't do internals anyway.

first time my dr. didn't stop internals... i was positive this time too but didn't get them b/c of my scheduled C.

First time I was GBS + & they still gave me internals.
2nd time I had sked CS so no internals.

i was positive and had more then a dozen internals and i had no problems i never heard of that to be honest

I only had one internal before labor began, but it didn't have to do with being GBS+. My midwives just didn't feel like they were necessary before my due date so I didn't end up having one before 41 weeks.
