was told gbs positive
I am scared, was told I was gps pos,I know they will give antibiotics during labor,but this is my 5th,what if my labor is short?anyone had this problem?

I was GBS+ and I had a pretty short labor. My midwife said as long as I had no risk factors (temperature, prolonged rupture of membranes) I would have been fine with one dose at least 30 minutes before delivery

The chances that you'll pass the infection to the baby are very low even without antibiotics, so your baby should be fine regardless. I think it takes 45 minutes for the antibiotics to get into your system, but I'm not sure.
Congrats on your 5th baby! That's impressive.
