Re: gatorade?
I've had it on and off the entire pregnancy, especially if I was having stomach problems and was concerned about dehydrating. Those days I would drink that more than anything else!

Re: gatorade?
Love the low cal one - drank it alot until I was told to severely cut down my sodium. Not that it's high in sodium, but it's certainly higher than water.

Re: gatorade?
I have been drinking it on and off. I haven't had the low cal one bc I think it has fake sugars in it and I've been trying to avoid fake sugars. Dr told me Gatorade is supposed to help w the swelling too. It helped me a little bit

Re: gatorade?
why would it be bad? If anything I assumed it would be good for the same reason athletes drink it -- it gives you electrolytes v. straight water (which we already drink so much of).
I found that gatorade gave me a boost first tri when the exhaustion was debilitating and I was avoiding caffeine

I was told not to use it b/c of the sodium. That's why athletes drink it, b/c they sweat so much and need to replace their sodium.
that being said, I do have some when I can't stomach much else, but cut it with water more than 50%

Re: gatorade?
Ummm, I can't get enough during pregnancy. I buy the small "kid size" bottles to try to limit how much I have (because of the sodium and sugar). That being said I have one or two small bottles each day. I crave it at night for some reason. I try to make sure I drink water through out the day to balance it out.

Re: gatorade?
my BIL said it may give the baby hair on it's chest.
I'm kidding. my BIL is an idiot.
I'm drinking it, it's the only thing that makes me feel better after I throw up and the doc said it was ok.
