Funny:Why You Shouldnt Argue in Front of Kids
My sister called me with this story today. Let me preface by saying my niece bella is 5 and does not curse.
The Scene: My sister and BIL are running late and arguing. They are in the car driving to work with my nieces in the back.
my Sister to BIL: You know you are an @ss.
BIL: Im not an @ss, why do you say that. No I am not.
my niece chimes in: you're both an @ss. mommy your an @ss because you are being mean to daddy. daddy you're an @ss cause you're being mean to mommy. You are fighting and me and sofia (12 month old) are in the back, you both an @ss.
I swear, True, true story. I wish my sister had a recorder.

Never knew I said "J.C." so much until one of my kids got frustrated and in the best imitation of me said...
"JEEEEEEEEESUS KKKKKKRIST!!!!!!"
 
Now DH and I do a lot of spelling and the above has been changed to "CHEESE AND RICE"

I dumped snow on Damien yesterday (we were having a snowball fight) he called me a f'ing a'hole My neighbors thought it was quite comical, me not so much. I gave my DH the death stare and said do you see now why you can't curse in front of them!!

, I know its not funny when its your kid or it happens to you, but just to hear these kind of stories makes me laugh. He must have been really mad when you dumped that snow on him.

My aunt died when my oldest niece was about a year and a half old.
Between the afternoon and evening sessions of the wake, we all went to a restaurant for dinner. We had been talking about what the family jokingly referred to as my aunt's "cancer mouth." (She held nothing back in her later years! LOL) We were telling stories about her and laughing. During a lull in the conversation, my niece shouted out from her high chair as loud as she could, "F*CK!"
We all froze and I just remember my brother saying, "Don't laugh. Whatever you do, don't laugh. Don't let her think it's funny."
I was choking from trying so hard not to laugh. I thought my mother, OTOH - who says "pardon my French" after saying "heck" and "darn" - was going to fall off her chair and die.
ETA - This week, my 4-year old niece and 2-year old nephew were staying with me for a few days. As my niece was playing Wii tennis against the game itself, she started trash talking the other players. I had to try so hard not to laugh because she was really going after them, "What do you call THAT, loser?! What a jerk. What are you doing?!" I had to stifle my laughter so we could tell her that wasn't a nice thing to do. She has a competitive streak that one!
Apparently my brother and SIL have had to have numerous conversations with her about talking trash while playing Wii!

Its so hard to keep a straight and discipline them at that age. Idk how parents do it.
