Funny question...the "boys" room at the dr.'s office
Ok..we're all so serious lately..here is a funny question...since we are most likely doing IVF this weekend, and it is an hours drive from my house, DH has to "produce" the sample at the office. I am assuming (he kind of asked), that the room has some kind of "visual aids".
Ok, we can all laugh Did anyone's DH give up the details as to the room?
ALso, AnnMarie (WNA01) and I were just having lunch laughing about this very thing saying we were dying to know what was in there. I feel like I am 15 again.

DH would NOT talk about the room. I tried to inquire and I got a look that said "NEVER EVER ASK ME!". So, I just dropped it. I'm so curious to know whats in there also.

I've walked past these rooms at my RE's office as they are on the way to the area where ERs and ETs are done. I get kind of skeeved though when I see the doors closed and the sign next to the door that says "occupied" 
I do notice they have magizines in there as well as a TV w/VCR or DVD player along with movies.
I did ask my husband about them once, and he did confirm there are definately aides in the room to help the process! He was surprised though that they also had gay porno magizines as well. Which didn't surprise me though.

My DH has no trouble sharing. LI-IVF has good videos and materials. Apparently SIRM has old material (think 80s) where the models did not find netherland grooming to be a priority KWIM?

For IVF #2 (1st time in the new LIIVF Melville office), DH took forever. I thought he was having performance anxiety. Not the case. For IVF #3, he was in and out. I asked why so quick and he said the first time, he was checking EVERYTHING out..the magazines, the channels, the table, the chair...this time he didn't need to explore and went right for the videos.
How easy do they have it?!

DH and I discussed "the room" before the IVF. We knew he had to produce in the office. I also knew that the room he had to produce in wasn't the most inspiring (KWIM?). The room was basically a bathroom with some magazines and a TV for videos. DH brought his laptop with his own material to make sure there would be no stage fright. Sorry for TMI.

That is too funny. DH has gone to the urologists office, which he said was more high tech with newer DVDs and then recently at the RE's office he said they were outdated, only VCR tapes and really old ones:)

When we go for our IVF and DH has to "produce" at the office, I am putting a bottle of Purell in his pocket for afterwards. I don't want him touching the doorknob.

My husband STOLE a magazine from there. Dont get me started, but yes, they have magazines and videos and couches, and Dh was thrilled when they updated the video collection.
One room he said only had "girls gone wile" and apparently thats not his taste

My DH did not/cannot produce sperm but when he had to do a retrograde test he went in one of those rooms. He said there was nothing in there! ALL of the DVDs were gone out of the holders

When we did the IUI's, he produced the sample at home, we live close enough to the office. But for the IVF, I will be under sedation having the retrieval while he's doing his thing.
And no, there is no way I can tell him about this post.

haha, I texted MY DH during his SA apptmt to ask how it went and he said it went well and he's just chilling in the room enjoyng the material, he said it was like a little lounge
it was hysterical, I'm glad he was comfortable!
