What are some good school districts/nice towns on north shore of Suffolk County?
I haven't lived in suffolk in several years and am not sure how some of the school districts are anymore. I'm thinking from Sachem into Nassau County...so Sachem, Smithtown, Commack, Northport, Dix Hills, etc.

From what I've heard, Dix Hills is known for having excellent schools.

Doesn't Half Hallow Hills Dix Hills SD cover parts of Wyandanch? I could be wrong, but that's what I've heard.

  Search MLS and see.
I think you may be thinking of Wheatley Heights. They use HHH schools.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the north shore districts from Three Village on into Huntington. They're all v. good, with some v. good further out east too (Miller Place, Shoreham).

Are they two different school districts? I'm not familiar with the area. Is Half Hallow Hills Dix Hills different from HHH??

no, they are the same. The district is huge and encompasses Dix Hills, Wheatley heights, Deer Park, and Melville. Some of these areas are nicer than others.

Re: What are some good school districts/nice towns on north shore of Suffolk County?
I recommend PJ (Village), Three Village, Mt Sinai, Miller Place, Shoreham-Wading River, etc.
I live in Comsewogue by 3 Village. Although it may not be considered the best of the best, it's an adequate school district and its certainly not the worst you cna do.
