For those that have cleaning ladies......
Does she eat your food without asking? & if she did/does, does it ever irk you? (especially if it's one of your most favorite things in the entire world and you don't get it a lot b/c it's expensive)

Re: For those that have cleaning ladies......
No but she's also in and out in under 2 hrs leaving a lot to be desired (like this week my glass shower doors were still opaque and there was still toothpaste on my sink ) I think I'd rather she eat my food if it meant she actually cleaned my house

see, she does a crappy job and it's DH's job to let her go b/c he hired her as a *gift* to me , so I'm making him do it...she's only there for 2 hours too, so the food STILL doesn't help

it's so stupid....but they are the cinnamon scones from Whole Foods....I only get 3 in the damn package to begin with so I was Piiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssed! lol
Side note- We always give her things too for her kids and family, maybe she feels she has the right to just take b/c of that?

that's insane!! no one should feel entitled to eat anything when providing you with a service unless either you or DH ever said, help yourself to any food while you are here. and even then she should only be eating your food because she is about to pass out IMO! FIRE HER!!!!!

Re: For those that have cleaning ladies......
we noticed that our cleaning lady (i also know she has at least one other person come in with her) will sometimes eat candy if we have it out (like around halloween), and one time we noticed that some cookies were gone (homemade that i had sitting on the counter)
at first i was really miffed.. but we just laugh about it now. I guess if it happened all the time, or i noticed she ate other things i'd say something to her. But it's not really worth it to me, i don't want to come off as a total b*tch. If i was there and she asked me, i'd have told her to take one anyway.
But i can totally understand you being upset about the scones - while i wouldn't fire her for that personally, you should at least say something to her about it. Tell her if she's hungry to call you and ask if she can eat something, not just take it.

she does it often and I will say for the most part, I don't care. but not my precious scones BUT she also SUCKS at cleaning and my DH feels bad firing her(his family uses her), so I'm also at my wits end.

Oh then heck no! If she were cleaning hard for 6 hrs I could understand but she needs to go! (that is unless of course youre like me and too lazy to find a replacement... I keep thinking the bare minimum is better than nothing but someday I vow tol get motivated to find someone to actually clean my shower doors )

Then maybe be a little more specific:
"Cleaning lady (name obviously) can you please wipe down the shower doors, use this cleaner, and stop eating my food or you'll be fired. Please."

Re: For those that have cleaning ladies......
She takes what she wants to drink, iced tea, water or soda. I have no problem with that. I don't think she has ever taken food in 5+ years.

Re: For those that have cleaning ladies......
I told our cleaning lady that she was welcome to eat whatever she pleased. I don't know if she does or not.
If I didn't give her express permission and she ate something.. I'd be pretty irritated!

I am not sure if she has ever eaten anything. She is more than welcome to eat and drink anything... just don't steal my stuff.
