Re: For those that don't go on NFR-Michael Jackson...
I liked his music but wasn't crazy for the person he was throughout the years. I truely feel sorry for his children and his family who have lost him. JMO.
Not trying to add more fuel to the fire.

Let's not forget the person he was...the legend he was...the talent he had a such a young age and an unforgettable voice. There will never be another artist quite like him.

I guess... but I would be incredibly dishonest if I said I felt differently.
IMO, nothing bad was written in any of the above posts.
You do not have to say anything....I think it is distasteful, especially minutes after the world of his death hit the media
just my opinion, of course, say whatever you want but I was kind of taken aback by some of the comments (not just by you) ...that's all
one really could go the other way with the comments as well and this could get very ugly....quickly.
i was NOT trying to be nasty or distasteful in any way and apologize if it was taken that way. I think Tara put it best - i mourn the person he was before he became what he did...but the person he became is not one that i would ever 'mourn' or 'miss'...and to say otherwise would to not be honest...
My intention is not for this to get nasty....I said how I feel......nothing more needs to be said
Apparently, I am in the minority with my feelings , so you are all good
You're not alone- I agree with you. None of us have walked a day in his shoes nor do we know the truth about anything. What I do know for a fact is that he is a legend. His life or death affects mine in no way, but I still have sympathy b/c he is a human being. May he rest in peace!

Once upon a time he was something amazing. It's unfortunate that his life took the strange turn that it did but with his passing I do think back to being a kid and singing along to the radio when he was on.
Listening to the stations pay tribute tonight brought me back to those days.

The parents who would like to pick his pockets...
A man is dead. A legend of music and dance. I will absolutely mourn this terrible, terrible loss. I have such rich memories of my childhood that involve him. Sometimes people go crazy. He certainly did. Look at his life. I swear, sometimes I am grossed out by the lack of empathy on this board.

I'm pretty sure he was found not guilty of the charges, and another one of the boys dropped the accusations in favor of a monetary settlement.
I really think many of these responses are in poor taste

I'm going to say this being that this particular thread is on the PARENTING board. He was someone's son and someone's father. As children and parents ourselves, I would think that everyone would have some sense of sorrow if not for him then for his family.
I remember when MTV played the Thriller video every hour on the hour and it was 14 friggin minutes long. His music was untouchable and I shall miss him.

I am so sad for both the families of Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett today. My heart breaks for them all.

Re: For those that don't go on NFR-Michael Jackson...
As strange as he was these past couple of years I still admired his music and he was a part of my childhood. I grew up listening to a lot of his music...
I did become less of a fan of his through the years of when his life took such a strange turn but the man still was a music legend. I may have stopped liking the way Michael Jackson looked but I never stopped liking his music and hearing his songs today on the radio brought back so many memories of the 80's for me. Billy Jean will always be my favorite...
R.I.P Michael Jackson...

R.I.P Michael Jackson... I agree 100 % What really made me less of a fan also was how his life took a turn. My heart goes out to his children and family.
