For the tempers out there!

This is my first month temping. How low does your temperature dip before you ovulate? Any idea on how far before it dips before you ovulate?

I am so excited to see that dip! Chat Icon

It doesn't always dip before O - but it will definitely rise and you'll see a clear thermal shift AFTER O.

Ex:

Temp dip before O-

No dip before O-

Yes. At 3 DPO you'll get your "crosshairs" meaning your horizontal coverline and your vertical O line.

Awesome! Thanks for the help! So do you usually see a difference by a degree? If you don't see a dip beforehand how do you know you are ovulating...is it just from knowing your cycle?

Sorry for all the questions Chat Icon

Basically temping is best for confirming - not predicting - ovulation.

I used my CBEFM along with it.
