Re: For all of the married women....

I took it off during the reception, but not out of choice. It fell out when my dad hugged me during mass and from there on end, it kept falling off, so I decided to just leave it out at the reception.

Re: For all of the married women....

Mine was hanging from the back of my hair. It was a single layer fingertip. I kept it the whole time. I did not want to be bothered with something in my face but still wanted to keep the veil.

I wore it for the first dance & toast, then took it off & bustled the dress.

Re: For all of the married women....

I wore mine the whole day. My veil was elbow length and it was pinned into my hair very securely so I didn't want to mess my hair up by taking it out.

I wore mine the entire time. I was more excited to wear a veil my whole life, there was no way I was taking it off. I loved it!

Re: For all of the married women....

My veil came right off after the mass. It never made it to the reception. It was bugging me so much during mass that when it was over and we were doing the receiving line my aunt snuck up behind me and gently took my veil off.

I kept saying I would put it back on during the reception but I never got around to it. To tell you the truth I am glad I didnt wear it the whole time, the photographer got some great shots of the back of my dress, a shot of DH's hand on my waist (pic from the back) and full back shot (of the bustle) that these shots would have been covered by the veil.

So my veil now sits in a plastic bag and every one in a while I take it out and put it on Chat Icon

Re: For all of the married women....

Took it off for the reception... actually took it off before we went into the cocktail hour. It was a cathedral veil and it was sooo windy on our wedding day I just wanted it off!

Re: For all of the married women....

I took mine off after the ceremony.
it kept weighing my hair down. I also paid too much for it to ruin it. it was 1/3 the price of my dress!!!
