Fmla
Can anyone give me some info on this. I am a slp for the nyc doe and I was wondering if I have a baby over the summer and want to take sept off so the baby is a little older when it starts daycare would I be paid for sept through fmla and if so how much?

Ask in parenting/pregnancy but i believe if you have a baby in the summer..ur maternity starts the day u give birth. So lets say u have an august baby u get 6 weeks if vaginal n 8 csection..that will take u into september but once ur 6 or 8 weeks is up fmla kicks in n u do not get paid. Fmla is basically jusy keeping your health insurance. Oh n u will use ur sick days

I had a summer baby and my 12 weeks of FMLA didn't start until the first day that school started. I believe you get paid if you have any days in your bank. If not they will dock you. ALWAYS call HR CONNECT to get the correct information though. Also, FYI "bedrest" counts as FMLA too.
