Flu Symptoms for 1 day?

From Wednesday night to last night I had the chills, muscle aches, sweats but no real fever(99.8). I took tylenol every 6 hours and today I feel much better. No aches, chills or sweats but I now have a little cough.
I had the flu shot 8 weeks ago, Could this be the flu?
It seems too short?
I called OB just waiting for a call back.

There is a virus that is going around that seems to be pretty short lived.
I had it christmas eve it was accompanied by a vomiting a few times but I was better by the next day.

DH had it after new years where he felt flu like for a day-day and a half and then was fine, no vomiting but uneasy stomach....

I know at least 4 other people who had it too all varying degrees of symptoms but all lasted no more than 36 hours.
