flu shots
have you gotten your flu shot this year? did you get it just becuase you are pregnant?

I get it every year, but I did get the shot in back in November since I am preggo, getting the flu while you are pregnant is bad.

I got one for the first time while I was pregnant. I mainly decided to get it so that the baby would be protected once he was born.

Yes. My OB strongly suggested I get one, she has all her preggos get one.

My OB also has all preggos get it. I get it every year just about and the one or 2 times I missed I ended up with bad flu. I couldn't imagine having the flu and not being able to take anything for it. Not to mention, influenza is not something to brush off, it's very serious and can be fatal. The shot is a personal decision, but when my doctor said to do it I didn't give it a second thought. So far baby's doing great at 25 weeks (just had a growth sono today) and I had my shot in October.

I ususally do. The Dr. said it was fine to get. My DH read online that the flu shots have a small dose of merurcy, so that's why I didn't this year.

I got it this year from my OB/GYN. I don't normally get it, but last year I got the flu and missed a week of work!
No way did I want to go through that again!

This is the first time I got one. I have been hesitant in the past but didn't want to risk having the flu while pg.
I really think it helped me - everyone around me was sick this winter but I've been fine.

never got one before but I did this year bc ob/gyn recommended it.
Not sure if it was the flu shot, the prenatals, or the fun of drinking OJ every day to make the baby kick, but knock on wood, I have not been sick once this year and I am typically someone who gets sick at the drop of a hat and my whole group at work has been sick most of December and Jan so far!

I have gotten it twice before and both times got sick right after...so odd because I know that isn't suppose to happen. I got the actual flue during my 2WW, so I don't think I need the shot now.
