Finding out the sex?

I am still on the fence about it. I really started to think more about it yesterday when I was visiting my friend in the hospital after she gave birth. I watched all these new dads coming out & the climax when they told their families what they had.

DH really wants to know so we can plan & I never truly wanted to find out but now I am considering it knowing that the neutral stuff is far & inbetween.

Just wondering what others thought?

We just found out on Tuesday that we're having a !

It was never a question for us cause we just cant wait to find out anything. We're the worst when it comes to surprises.

I can't wait to find out fir sure what we are having. Intelligender says girl but we will see. I want to know the sex so I know what colors to register for, the in-laws want to know what their first grandchild is going to be and I want to know what color scheme to do for the nursery.

We know but didnt tell anyone. The babys room is done to go with the gender.

Honestly, the only thing that you really have to worry about being gender neutral is the clothes. Everything we registered for, we wouldnt have done pink or blue anyway because we want more kids.

Ehhh I'm still not too sure. I've always said that I did not want to find out. I think this is one of the biggest surprises you can ever receive.
But DH is trying to convince me that even if we found out before hand, it will still be a big surprise. Most of our family has always found out and he does have a point, it is very exciting to hear before what it is.

We want to be surprised. We figured there are only so many times in life you get a great surprise and no matter what the baby is.... as long as he or she is healthy that's all that matters. We can't wait to tell people...

we found out and it was still a surprise finding out. we decided since we know the sex, we will not announce her name until she is born.

We found out. There was no quesiton, we both wanted to know. If all goes right and we are blessed enough to have a #2, I think we'll find out again, but keep it a secret.

It will be a surprise for us. DH wants to do the old school running into the waiting room to yell "It's A ...."

I don't really have a preference as of yet, so I will give him his way.

as much as i am DYING to know, and i wish i could have bought a few cute things i have seen along the way, i am really looking forward to that moment of surprise.

we decided not to find out and i have to say its not bothering me at all. I think the 2nd time around we still wont find out.

We didn't find out and I don't regret the decision for 1 second!!!!

The pics of DH going out and telling everyone it's a boy are priceless!!!!!!!!!

As far as planning, we painted the room light green and picked 2 seperate bedding sets (boy and girl) and got the right one after he was born. he wasn't in his room for almost 3 months anyway, and between the boy bedding and all the boy gifts we got it totally looks like a little boys room!

I got a lot of neutral blankets, towels and onesies at my shower - I used most of them (returned a few!!)
My Mom bought 2 big bags of clothes (one boy and one girl) and kept the receipt in it and returned the girl bag after DS was born. Not that it mattered, everyone was VERY generous after DS was born and he had a great wardrobe!

There was never any discussion, we wanted to know. No surprises. Besides, I'm a complete control freak and needed to know!

We didn't find out. I ended up having a c-section and DH was the who told me we had a boy. It was such an exciting and emotional moment. I'm so glad we decided to be surprised.

we are going to find out. I am a planner and need to know in advance. I had to convince DH but he is all for it now too. My thinking is that it will be a surprise either way, now or when the baby is born!

At first we both didn't want to find out.

Then we were tempted to find out, but held out.

Now at 37 weeks, I'm so glad we didn't find out. Everyone is dying to know and I feel like it will be great for DH to announce it...

Someone said there are few genuine surprises in life and that this is one of them...I had to agree so I wanted to keep it a surprise.

at first, i didn't want to know. i was rather adament about it...

now - i'm DIEING to know and i know i won't last the whole pregnancy without knowing.

Dave at first, same thing - didn't want to know....but changed his mind.

we will confirm at the 20 week u/s next week and only share with close friends (and you ladies). Everyone else will find out at the shower (as i would prefer a gender neutral shower)...

We are for lots of reasons. To name a few...

This is our first and we want that very special moment of finding out right then and there.

Since we'd have more, I'd still keep a gender neutral nursery and move #1 into or room. And I just really like what I have in mind so I'd want to do it either way.

Same for high chairs, car seats, strollers, swings and such...

With my family, our baby will be innundated with or clothes so they won't be always in yellow or green!

I have been on the receiving end of daddy announcing "it's a " seven times so I would never deny my family that thrilling exciting moment! Especially with the built up pressure of having a they are just going to blow the roof off Southside!

Most of all... I love surprises!

DH and I both agreed early on that we would find out and we did.
Sometimes I do think about the excitement of finding out at birth, but there's no way I could of wait that long

We are not find out. I am due in 17 days.

My husband was adamant about not finding out. As much as I wanted to know I went along with it for HIM.

I have been DYING to know this entire pregnancy. I do NOT like surprises for one and I really wanted to be able to bond more with the baby. I wanted to be able to refer to the baby by name as opposed to "little one".

This was a surprise pregnancy for me and it took me awhile to get used to the idea. Oh well I guess I can wait 17 more days.

Also, might I add, trying to find gender neutral stuff has been a real challenge.

we found out with our first 2, and we already have a boy and a girl. so this time we are on team .
